Director Venkat Prabhu with two very successful movies under his belt celebrated his birthday recently at a farmhouse. Just as his films are known to have a touch of humor in every plausible sequence, the party too brimmed with laughter and excitement.

Much of the guest list was predictable with most of the 'Chennai 600028' in attendance along with close buddies. Director duo Pushkar and Gayathri who churned out the film 'Oram Po' were present an so was Lekha Washington and Sona. Young actors Shantanoo Bhagyaraj and Sakthi, son of P. Vasu were also part of the occasion. Others in the guest list included cousin Yuvan Shankar Raja, Trisha, Sonia Agarwal, Durai Azhagiri, Prasanna, Naren, Pasupathy, M. C. Jazz, director Dharani, and many more. Many of Venkat Prabhu's friends reportedly surprised him by coming all the way from Singapore and Malaysia.

The birthday bash was intended as a surprise event arranged by T. Siva, producer of 'Saroja', Jerome, Philip, Rajesh, Kamal and SPB Charan.

A DJ was present and he added spice to the entire bash.

It was an evening to celebrate for Venkat Prabhu after the stupendous run of successes and celebrate he did!
