Shankar's 'Endhiran'

Shankar's touted project 'Endhiran' is about to commence on 8th of September. The sci-fi flick 'Endhiran' starring Superstar Rajnikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachan is commencing with two songs to be made in USA starting from 8th September.

The entire cast and crew of the movie had flown to America, this morning. The schedule is planned for a month for the two songs featuring the leads, composed by A.R. Rahman which is to be shot in picturesque locales in the U.S.

The movie is produced as a joint venture by Ayngaran International and Eros International. Cinematography is done by R. Ratnavelu with costumes designed by Manish Malhotra. The lycirists are Pa. Vijay and Vairamuthu. The industry has talks that this could be the most expensive film ever made in India.

For the first time in the history of Tamil cinema, a Tamil flick featues a host of technicians taking part from the Hollywood.

Mary E Vogt, the costume designer for movies like 'Men in Black', 'Batman Returns', 'and Inspector Gadget' is designing the scientific outfits.

Stan Winston Studio of USA, which worked in the making of movies like 'Predator', 'Jurassic Park', 'Pearl Harbor', 'Iron man', 'Terminator' and 'I – Robot' will be doing animatronics for 'Endhiran'.

Acclaimed Hollywood stunt choreographer Yuen Woo Ping has been roped in for the movie. He had wide fame for films like 'Crouching Tiger and the Hidden Dragon', 'Matrix' and 'Kill Bill'.

Hollywood companies like ILM, Tippet, and Café EFX along with Hong Kong companies like Centro and Menfond will be working in the field of VFX for the film.
