Actor Vivek has lamented that there is complete dearth fior female comedians in Tamil cinema.

According to the actor, Tamil cinema has witnessed several talented comedians since its inception. The likes of N S Krishnan, Thangavelu, Nagesh, Surulirajan, Thengai Sreenivasan and Cho contributed a lot for Tamil cinema.

However among women comedians, Manorama was matchless. After a long gap came Kovai Sarala. There is no one after them evincing interest to do comical roles. Many want themselves to become heroines, he said.

Vivek added that his comedy is appreciated by people of all sections of the society. They want me to propogate message in every film of mine.

'Iam confident that if one has talent and urge to do his best, he will excel in the industry', he added.
