Moser Baer is producing the film 'Raman Thediya Seethai' with Cheran as the protagonist. Vimala Raman plays one of the heroines of the film and in an exclusive interview to Indiglitz, the actress spoke on the fun moments she had on the sets of the film.
Normally it takes some time to develop a working chemistry with co-stars. But Vimala from day one felt at home on the sets of the movie. This was due to the very cordial relationship she shared with the director of the film, Cheran and other technicians.
The immensely beautiful heroine recollected the pranks played on her by the crew members of the movie.
Says Vimala, 'There used to be fun on the sets every day'.
Enjoyable pranks made the atmosphere on the sets more lively and energetic. Vimala remembers a bet she had with Cheran.
Both challenged each other as to who will reach the shooting location first when they were shooting in Nagerkoil. In order to win the bet, Vimala would send out her assistant to check as to whether Cheran had already left while she would be busy donning her make up.
She most often managed to beat Cheran in getting ready and leaving first. Even if on some days Cheran became the first to leave the hotel, Vimala found it easy to reach the location as Cheran traveled in an ambassador which turned out to be too slow for Vimala's Scorpio.
One day both started off almost at the same time and Cheran saw the Scorpio overtaking him smoothly.
Cheran called Vimala on her mobile phone and told her that the back door of her Scorpio was open and the bags were falling out. But Vimala knew this was a trick being played by Cheran to make her stop so that he will be able to reach the location first.
She also mentioned the movie's director would laugh at their 'little competitions'.
