Is actor-director Cheran ready to quit cinema?

Speaking at the audio launch of 'Raman Thediya Seethai', Cheran reportedly said that he is ready to quit cinema and go to his village in a couple of year's time.

What's the reason? Cheran says, he is pained that he has to lose his integrity and honesty to survive in the field. He is also pained by reports appearing in vernacular media about him. All these forced him to have taken the decision. He also cited city life as being mechanical and so troublesome.

Interestingly his venting out anger at media people invited their wrath. The actor-director, who had been part of several hit movies had to seek an apology to scribes before leaving the auditorium. His fluid temperament has now landed him in more trouble.

Cheran is awaiting the release of 'Raman Thediya Seethai' and is also directing and acting in 'Pokkisham' featuring Padmapriya as the heroine.
