News reader debuts in 'Vedigundu Murugesan'

The lady who revolutionized the way 'Vannakam' is said on news broadcasts, Nirmala Periasamy is all set to start acting in films. Though she was called upon by many producers and directors to act in the movies, she didn't want to make the transition.

Reportedly, she was impressed by the story and the character assigned to her in the film 'Vedigundu Murugesan' starring Pasupathi. She has consented to play a Judge in the film.

Being a known face and having made waves already with the way she speaks, she could be a major contender to play the role of 'mother' in films. Beware Saranya, Seetha and the rest….
