After two successive failures at the box office in the form of 'Evano Oruvan' and 'Vazhthukkal', Madhavan is desperate for a successful film and has pined all his hopes on the film 'Yaavarum Nalam'. The film is to be made simultaneously in Tamil and Hindi. The Hindi version has been titled 'Sab Khayriyat'. Neetu Chandra plays Maddy's wife in the film.
Vikram K Kumar, who has done 'Ishtam' in Telugu and Alai with Simbu in Tamil will be directing the film. Shankar Ehsaan Loy scores music for both languages and P.C. Sriram is the cinematographer.
The cast would be different in both versions of the film except for Madhavan and Neetu Chandra.
The story is about the lives of a couple and how their lives are influenced by a television serial named 'Yaavarum Nalam'.
