In spite of the IPL cricket fever, the theatres in Chennai are witnessing decent crowds as the recent releases in Kollywood are witnessing good crowds.

The likes of ‘Yaradi Nee Mohini’ starring Dhanush, Jayam Ravi's ‘Santosh Subramaniam’ and Simbu Devan's ‘Arai En 305il Kadavul’ are witnessing good turn-outs.

The Kollywood is upbeat about the box-office collections.

Fears prevailed that the IPL matches being telecast on television would play spoilsport on the crowd coming to theatres. However the film-lovers still throng theatres in large numbers as Sunday witnessed houseful shows in all the theatres across the State.

With ‘Kuruvi’ releasing this week-end, it is expected that number of people visiting theatres will increase.
