Come IPL matches this summer beginning 18 April, fear looms large among the Tamil film industry which normally witnesses a host of movies release during the summer vacation.

'Cricket attracts maximum attention from the people and it is a big risk releasing movies during these days', says a prominent producer. They are ‘Yaradi Nee Mohini‘ on (4 April), ‘Nepali’ (10 April), ‘Santhosh Subramaniyam’ (11 April), and ‘Arai 305il Kadavul’ (12 April).

The Tamil film industry is playing it safe and trying to release the films a week before the IPL tournament.

With international stars taking part in the IPL tournament, expectations are high that there would be huge turn out during the match days at the Chepauk Stadium and also many will be glued to their television sets to catch the excitement.

In a sense of hurry, the Kollywood is gearing up to make merry before the game starts.
