Director Manobala, who has now become a full time actor, has helped a director to have a new lease of life. While R. Kannan was looking for producers to narrate his story, Manobala recommended him to Sathyajothi Films Thyagarajan.

Kannan impressed Thyagarajan with his story and got the chance to make a film based on the story. The film is Jeyam Kondaan starring Vinay.

The young director Kannan has had a unique experience of blessing a young actress. Lekha, who is donning one of the two heroines in the film, prostrated in the feet of the director on the first day of the shooting and got his blessings.

After loosing the bus in Silambarasan’s Kettavan, the VJ turned actor would have thought that it would be prudent to have the blessings of the directors to come up in her career.
