2007 had absolutely belonged to Priyamani so far. She was part of two blockbusters – 'Paruthi Veeran' and 'Malaikottai'. She won several awards for her performance in 'Paruthi Veeran' and was a chief guest at the inauguration of the IFFI in Goa.

A thrilled Priyamani is serious about her aspirations. “I would jump into any project that packs in a lot of hilarity. I've always admired comedians. There is such a good scope for expressions in comedy. I fancy negative roles as well”, she says.

She is excited about her next project 'Thotta', where she is cast opposite Jeevan. Speaking about the movie, she says, “It's a story about a go-getter girl and a guy, who is bogged down by failures. The project began well before 'Paruthi Veeran'. I'm looking forward to it”.
