“1977 is a James Bond like movie”, says Sarath Kumar. An actor-cum-politician, Sarath Kumar is playing a dual role in the movie (father and son).

Asked about the unique title, he says, “The movie revolves around an incident that occurred in '1977'. It is recorded in the history in a wrong manner. It is up to me to find the mistakes and rewrite the history”.

When queried whether it would have his political ideologies, the actor says, “Certainly not. For me acting and politics are different streams. I don't try to infuse political ideologies in my movies. '1977' is not a political movie at all. It is a James Bond type film”.

Shooting has commenced and we are planning to shot the film in a big way. '1977' will hit the screens in the early part of next year, he adds.
