Dhanush - Vettri Maaran combo have tasted success with good crowds reported for Polladhavan in various centers all over the state.

When Dhanush was desperate for success after a disastrous outing in Parattai Engira Azhagu Sundaram, Polladhavan has come as a big relief for the actor.

Playing a typical ‘Chennai’ youth, has proved to be a cake walk for Dhanish who has excelled in the role with amazing ease. The movie featured Divya in the female lead role.

Speaking about the movie, Dhanush says, "Vetri Maran is a bundle of energy. He promised to deliver the best in Polladhavan and he did it".

"Everything was shot in realistic locations. Scenes were shot in the busy streets-corners of Chennai and Pudhupettai automobile market with great difficulty. All credit should go the entire team", says Dhanush.

On his part, director Vettri Maaran, says, "Dhanush’s spontaneous performance coupled with the hard word and dedication of the co-stars helped the movie excel".

Daniel Balaji played a ruffian to near perfection. He was excellent. Veteran director Balu Mahendra too appreciated his performance, informed Vetri Maaran.
