With active back-to-back hits in ‘Thiruttu Payalae’ and’ Naan Avanillai’, Jeevan is sketching for ’Machaakkaran’. Jeevan has the assurance to go ahead full steam in roles which cater to the youth.

‘Machaakkaran’ is a youthful love story. 'Idhaya Thirudan' Kamna Jethmalani is pairing with Jeevan for the first time and she is been more generous in glamour than ever before!

The director has cast 11 comedians in the movie, which is never attempted in any Tamil cinema before GM Kumar, Shobraj, Santhanam, Vaiyapuri, Muthukaalai, Mayilsamy are also acting among others. Director Thamizhvanan says that the movie will be very refreshing to the audience and is a racy entertainer laced with a message. For the climax scene, a reservoir set at a cost of Rs.30 lakhs was put up. Shooting was done in 10 prominent towns of 10 districts in Tamilnadu.

Thamizhvanan has already joined hands with Yuvan for the hit list in ‘Kalvanin Kadhali’. So, the magic is repeated again here to rob young hearts. Two of the songs have been shot overseas. Actress Malavika has also shaked legs to one of the songs for the mesmerizing musical score of Yuvan Shankar Raja. After 'Paruthiveeran,' Ilayaraja has sung a song for his son Yuvan Shankar Raja. Cinematography by Venkatesh, Raju Sundaram’s choreography and Anthony’s editing are the other important features in the movie.
