Actor Vijay, who completed the shooting for Azhagiya Tamil Magan, recently called on Chief Minister M Karunanidhi at his residence in Chennai.

The actor said that it was a courtesy call and he turned up at the Chief Minister's residence along with his father and noted director S A Chandrasekhar to seek his blessings before commencing the shooting for his next Kuruvi, to be directed by Dharani and produced by Karunanidhi's grandson Udhayanidhi and to thank him for awarding the special best actor award of the year 2005 for the film ‘Thirupachi’.

Vijay's Azhagiya Tamil Magan is all completed and would hit the screens for Deepavali. Directed by Bharathan, the movie features Shriya and Namitha in lead roles. Music is by A R Rehman.
