Kamal Haasan is greatly relieved at the Madras High Court dismissing a petition filed by one Senthil Kumar, who had alleged that he was the real author of the story that the film Dasavatharam is based on.

A Division bench of Madras High Court had rendered the verdict on Monday.

Senthil Kumar in his writ plea had claimed that he had handed over the story to Kamal Haasan, who had promised him money along with the assurance that he would be appointed the assistant director to work in the film.

Kamal Haasan's counsel argued that the story was written by Kamal himself and outright denied any claim of plagiarism. Kamal Haasan appeared in court last week and recorded his statement to the Judges in camera.

It may be recalled Senthil Kumar's plea was dismissed by a lower court early this year and he later filed a writ appeal in the Madras High court.
