Mayakkannadi: Reflecting disturbing truths

Director-actor Cheran dealt in detail about the travails of youths yearning to work abroad for livelihood in Vettrikodi Kattu.

Now his forthcoming release Mayakkannadi will go a step further and conveys the message that youngsters' in their desire to earn money they should not give up their moral values.

Says Cheran, “The movie is a lesson for youngsters. I am confident that it would give an answer to several questions haunting their minds in this competitive world today”.

Keeping up his reputation intact, Cheran has managed to get a 'U' certificate for his film.

He promises that there would be no double entendre, glamorous or item numbers in the movie. “It is a serious film with a purpose”.

Produced by Subbu (Panchu Arunachalam's son), the movie has musical score by Ilayaraja and Navya Nair and Radha Ravi play prominent roles besides Cheran.
