Sanjana, the young girl from Bengal, made her mark in Tamil with Kokki. She acted opposite Karan in the movie.

The actress waited for good opportunities to come her way. Meanwhile the actress has opted for a name change and it immediately worked out in her favor.

Sanjana re-christened herself as Pooja Gandhi. Now the name change has brought her enough fortunes. She has been cast to play heroine in Sarath Kumar's Vaitheeswaran and P Vasu's Thootal Poo Malarum. Also she has been assigned to act as heroine in Pagadai, a film which features Rajkiran in pivotal role.
