Director Venkat Prabhu, producers SP Charan and JK Saravana are busy giving final touches to Chennai 600028 and plans are on to release the movie coinciding with the cricket world cup.

When producers and directors shy away from releasing their movies during the cricket season, the twosome are gearing along for an early release of Chennai 600028.

Venkat Prabhu has shot a cricket match for the movie's climax in which prominent cricketers from the local cricket clubs in Chennai took part. Hence plans are on to have the movie released coinciding with the much expected event of the year – the cricket World Cup.

“We shot the climax with over 5000 junior artistes and the whole stadium where the scene was shot resembled an international cricket match. It was fun and joy on the sets,” says Venkat Prabhu.
