The competition between Prabhu Deva and Lawrence Raghavendra is proving to be interesting.

Both Prabhu Deva and Lawrence started as dance assistants and then as one song dancers.

While Prabhu Deva makes it as a hero-actor, Lawrence is just about making his mark as an actor.

But as directors they are now on their own. Both chose Telugu to make a beginning.

Prabhu Deva and Lawrence have tremendous respect for the talent of the other.

Recently, Prabhu Deva tasted success as a director in Tamil through Pokkiri, Lawrence, on the other hand, is waiting for his moment under the sun through Muni.

Elsewhere in Telugu too, they are almost on a similar plane.

Prabhu Deva may get to direct megastar Chiranjeevi (Shankardada Zindabad) while Lawrence is to direct the other big star of Telugu Nagarjuna in Don.

Similar growth trajectories for two dancers.
