After Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi, Vadivelu will play the lead role in the remake of 1956 blockbuster Rambaiyin Kadhal.
It is supposedly a mythological movie with a social theme.
Director Thambi Ramaiyya is improvising the script to suit the present Tamil audience.
The movie would be produced by Rajagopal. Buzz is that the producer has plans to cast Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty in the role of Rambha.
Urmila has also been approached.
