It's the season of directors choosing to acting in Kollywood. Even the likes of Perarasu have made it a point to appear in a scene in his films. Joining the list is director Shankar. The director has reportedly appeared for a scene in his Sivaji.

Though it is a minuscule appearance, Shankar had shown his mug on screen along with his cinematographer K V Anand. Interestingly the director, who insists on perfection from his artistes, took five takes to complete the shot.

The scene was shot in Pune, where a song featuring Rajinikanth and Nayantra was also canned. Sivaji featuring Rajinikanth, Shreya, Vadivelu and Suman is expected for a release this Tamil New Year's day.

But this is not the first time, Shankar is making an appearance before the camera. He has done that from time to time, even from the days when he was an assistant to S A Chandrasekhar.
