A court in Kerala has stayed the release of Arpudha Theevu, a Tamil remake of Malayalam movie Albutha Theevu starring Prithviraj and Mallika Kapoor.

The movie is a fantasy tale with over 100 dwarfs acting in prominent roles. Directed by Vinayan, the film had a decent run in Kerala. All efforts were on to re-shoot some portions in Tamil and dub the rest for a release in Tamil Nadu.

Unfortunately the movie is in troubled waters now.

A case has been filed by financier alleging that its producer Aroma Mani had not returned the money taken as loan from him to produce the movie.

The petition came up for hearing in a Kerala Court recently and immediately, the Magistrate ordered a stay on the release of Arpudha Theevu until further hearing.
