Suddenly revising old blockbusters is the name of the game.

Bollywood has made it almost a new genre.

Sholay, Don and many other classical hits of the past are being remade with a new paradigm.

Even the neighbouring Telugu film industry saw Nagarjuna’s hit Shiva (Udhayam in Tamil) being revisited as Shiva 2006.

Naturally, such a phenomenon was waiting to be experimented in Tamil.

And steps are afoot in this direction.

Among the films that are to be ‘remade’ are Rajinikanth’s cult classics like Thee, Billa.

Now who will play these roles and who will direct the new versions is a moot thing.

But Sujatha Cine Arts that made these originals themselves are remaking them.
