The executive committee meeting of the newly elected office-bearers of the Nadigar Sangam would be convened on Friday. To be chaired by Sarath Kumar, the meeting would discuss various issues concerning the welfare of the actors.

It may be recalled that Sarath Kumar was elected unopposed as the president of the Sangam following Vijayakanth deciding not to seek a re-election. In the elections held last Sunday, Radha Ravi was elected the general secretary and host of other members including Silambarasan, Mumtaz, Vindhya, Manorama, Murali, Abbas and others were elected as the executive committee members.

It is expected that the meeting on Friday would discuss about setting up a drama troupe consisting actors and actresses which is planning to stage plays in various parts of the State.

Also the proposed construction of a building complex for the Nadigar Sangam would be taken up for discussion.
