Keerti Chawla - The laughing Buddhist

Keerti Chawla is the one of the up and coming actress, who announced her arrival with Arjun's Aanai and Madarasi. The actress is today busy acting in nearly a half-a-dozen movies including Vettai, Uyir Ezhuthu, 1986 and Piragu.

She is tipped to play Captain's ladylove in the Perarasu directed Dharmapuri.

The director has reportedly confirmed casting her as the heroine for Dharmapuri.

Meanwhile buzz is that Keerti Chawla has embraced Buddhism recently.

When she went to Mumbai, she became a Buddhist follower. Ever since, she observes morning and evening prayers even during shooting stints. Every Sunday, she rushes off to hear discourses on Buddha's teachings.

However Keerti says ‘It is my personal decision and no one forced me to do so. Now I am more peaceful and satisfied.’
