After the solid work for over 100 days, director Ameer is all to set wind up shooting for his Paruthi Veeran. The movie assumes major significance for it features Surya’s younger brother Karthik in the lead role.

Based on a real life incident in an interior village in Madurai, the shooting for Paruthi Veeran commenced last year. A major portion of the movie was shot in villages adjoining Maduari.

Ramji, who cranked the camera for Ameer’s Raam, handles the same hero too, while music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The final portions of the film is being shot in Theni district now.

Ameer is determined to complete the shooting and commence post production works. He has planned the movie for an Independence Day release.

Ameer, whose Raam won awards at many international film fests, says, ‘Paruthi Veeran is again an emotional and realistic story. With Karthik and Priyamani giving their best, it is sure to click. We have taken time only to give the audience a quality entertainment’.
