After stealing the show in Azhagi, actor-director Parthiban is pinning hopes on his next Azhagigal to repeat the magic.

The movie is directed by Padma Magan, who had wielded the magephone for Pallavan before.

Asked why Pachai Kuthirai failed, Parthiban, said, 'I still keep the movie close to my heart. It had given me immense satisfaction. I played a hero sans any heroism. Though my commercial ventures like Puthiya Pathai and Ulle Velliyae succeded at the box office, it was movies like Sugaman Sumaigal, House Full and Kudaikul Mazhai which gave me satisfaction. I will still continue with my innovations and experiments'.

Parthiban also denied rumours that his movies Ade and Rowdy have been shelved. The shooting for these movies would resume soon, he said.
