Actor Sarath Kumar along with his wife and a prominent actress Radhika joined the AIADMK in the presence of Chief Minister and AIADMK supremo J Jayalalithaa on Monday.

The star couple would also be campaigning for the success of the AIADMK alliance in the forthcoming Assembly elections.

The couple had returned from Singapore just a couple of days ago after taking part in grand celebrations organized to commemorate the success of Radhika Sarath Kumar's mega-serial Selvi, currently on in Sun TV.

It may be recalled that Sarath Kumar had resigned last week from the primary membership of the DMK.

He alleged that his 'hard work' was only being 'ridiculed' by others in the party, and that he was not given due respect and importance.

The actor had sent his resignation letter to party president M Karunanidhi.
