Everyone expected actress Simran, who turned her back on Tamil movies after she happily married her lover Deepak Bhagga, to stage a comeback in movies.

However the actress seems to have got other plans up her sleeves.

Simran along with her husband and her newly-born child, met Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa during her election campaign at Villupuram on Saturday.

The actress had reportedly expressed her best wishes to Chief Minister for her success in the elections and expressed her solidarity with her.

One more from the Kollywood to have called on Jayalalithaa to express her support for the ruling government was actress Vindhya.

In recent times, with Assembly elections around, it was a beeline of actors and actresses to the AIADMK camp. The likes of Senthil, Vijayakumar, Murali, Manobala, Liyakath Ali Khan had joined the AIADMK bandwagon.

Yet, the Simran and Vindhya show in AIADMK camp has come as a surprise for many.
