Madhavan is all set to compete with Kamal Haasan and Dhanush.

His Arya, a bi-lingual being made in Tamil and Telugu simultaneously, will hit the theatres on Tamil New Year's day. It may be known that Vettaiyaadu Villaiyaadu and Pudhupettai too are slated for release on 14 April.

Producer Manoj Kumar is all praise for Balasekhar. ‘All credit should go to director Balasekaran and Madhavan for giving an honest try. A major portion of the movie has been completed while a couple of song sequences and the climax have to be shot'.

For Madhavan, Thambi will be releasing shortly and following which Arya would hit the theaters.

Dwelling on the movie, Balasekaran, says, 'it is the story of a medical student, who takes his knife for a different purpose and its repercussions forms the crux'.

Prakash Raj's cameo is a major highlight of the movie. In Telugu, the movie has some minor changes and Vadivelu's portion is done by Sunil.

Bhavana, Devan, Tejashree and Vadivelu are also in the cast. Music is by Manisharma.
