Superstar Rajinikanth would soon be entering the record books as he becomes the first Indian icon on whom a full-length animated movie is to be made.

Adlabs Films, promoted by the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group, in collaboration with Chennai-based Ocher Studios, a post-production studio owned by Latha Rajinikanth (the actor’s wife), has taken up the ambitious animation project featuring the actor. The project is meant for Indian and international audiences and will involve leading international specialist skills.

‘With our expertise and their experience in the field of entertainment, the world is going to see quality projects soon. I am extremely thrilled to do an animated full-length feature film, featuring an Indian icon which has never been attempted before, has been taken up jointly by us. It gives me the unique privilege of animating my father, the iconic superstar for the first time and I consider this a special dedication for his contribution to the Indian film industry,’ says Soundarya Rajinikanth ,managing director, Ocher Studios.
