Kasthoorimaan, the debut directorial venture of noted Malayalam director Lohitha Dass in Tamil, has hardly completed a 50-day run in theatres across the State.

Interestingly, a prominent satellite channel has acquired the satellite rights of the movie and it would be premiered on Pongal day in the channel even as it is still running in few theatres in Chennai.

The movie featuring Prasanna and Meera Jasmine was a remake of Malayalam movie (Kasthoorimaan) directed by Lohitha Dass himself.

Though the Tamil venture won plaudits, unfortunately heavy rains and successive cyclones at the time of its release last month hampered its collections at the box office.
