Navya Nair established a place for herself in Tamil with Thangar Bachan's Chidambarathil Oru Appasamy, where she played the mother of two kids.

Currently busy acting in T V Chandran's Aadum Koothu with Cheran in Tamil and many other movies in Malayalam, Navya Nair says, though I love cinema, I had never thought of becoming an actress.

On playing glamorous roles, 'I give importance only to the story of a movie. I do glamorous roles only when the script demands it and that too with limitations. Fortunately, the films I do not require too much of glamour. Those are the kinds of roles I'm looking for.'

Navya is also thrilled to be part of a Tamil movie which has dialogues by DMK chief M Karunanidhi.

Meanwhile on T V Chandran's film, Navya says, 'it is the character of a lifetime. I play three different characters belonging to three different eras and Cheran acts opposite me'.

‘I am getting good offers in Malayalam too and certainly I would balance my career in Tamil and Malayalam and make this year a memorable one for me’, she adds.
