Trying things differently is director Jananathan. His debut venture Iyarkai was a pointer to it. Though it could not bring financial rewards to the director, it won him critical acclaims. He brought Bandit Queen fame Seema Biswas for the movie.

He is currently directing a movie titled E which stars Jeeva and Nayantra in the lead roles.

On the title, he says, 'It's all about an angry young man, Eswaran, abbreviated as E, pitch forking Jeeva in the pivotal role. Nayantra plays a Mumbai girl.'

Meanwhile the buzz is that Jananathan is keen on casting Bollywood star Nana Patekar in a cameo in the movie. He has reportedly approached the actor to play an important role in the movie.

It may be recalled that Bollywood star Jackie Shroff is making his debut in Tollywood.
