Vijay's Sivakasi, which has witnessed steady collection has run into a minor hiccup of sorts.

A law student from Madurai has filed a case against Vijay, Asin, Perarasu, and producer A M Ratnam for showing lawyers in bad light in the film.

He has alleged in his petition that the lawyers are portrayed as fools in the film and colloquial terms referred therein has brought disrepute to the lawyers fraternity.

A Madurai Court hearing the case has posted it for 14 November.

M S Baskar plays 'the stupid' advocate in the movie.

It may be recalled that actor-director S J Suryah had to remove a scene from his movie Ah Aah after lawyers felt some scenes in the film to be offensive while Arjun starrer Arasatchi witnessed protests from advocates as the movie purportedly portrayed them as anti-socials.

Moral of the story: Don’t mess around with lawyers---they know the law.
