The heading is only for effect. Actor Vijay needn't worry. His father, S A Chandrasekhar, has turned an actor. But it is not with any serious pretensions that he has turned an actor. Quite simply it is for a lark.

Chandrasekhar now joins the list of directors venturing to act.

S A C will play an important role in a movie titled Ilamai, which would star Vijay's cousin Vikranth in the lead role.

Speaking about acting in Ilamai, Chandrasekhar said, 'I was not keen on acting. Several times when Vijay urged me to act I turned it down.'

So what clinched it in Ilamai? The script. "When I heard the script I was impressed with it and decided to be part of the movie. I play a 60-year-old youth in the movie. The entire movie revolves around me," he says with a twinkle in his eye.

I am happy to act along with Vikranth. If this film clicks, I might think of acting in a movie with Vijay and Vikranth,Chandrasekhar adds for good measure.

Will he then bid bye to direction? No says, S A C. I will balance both, he adds.
