Acclaimed pop singer Usha Uthup who makes a comeback in Tamil filmdom through a racy number in June R says, 'I am happy to be back in my hometown singing'.

Taking part in the audio release of June R which stars Jyothika, Saritha and Khushboo on Saturday, she said, 'I made a humble beginning from here. Though I travel all around the world, a visit to my native relaxes me.'

Recalling her younger days, Usha Uthup, says, 'I wanted to become a actress then. However I took up singing and majority of the songs I have sung on films were racy and peppy and were kind of club dance numbers'.

After a gap of ten years, I am here singing a number along with Chitra for June R, she adds.
