Director Charan, a protege of K Balachander, is a busy bee in Kollywood directing a movie for his Master K Balachander (Idhaya Thirudan) and at the same time producing a movie himself (Aaru).

Being a director and a producer is never a difficult task as long as one plans things in a proper manner, says Charan.

Charan's debut production venture is directed by Hari and stars Surya and Trisha in the lead roles.

Charan on Aaru says, 'Being a director myself, I know the needs and wants of my director. I give complete liberty to them in film-making.'

Shooting for Aaru commenced last month and would be released by the end of this year.
