His Manmadhan came almost a year ago and helped Silambarasan establish as a bankable hero.

His new one Totti Jaya released on Friday has witnessed a huge opening at the box office and once again Silambarasan's performance has come in for appreciation from film buffs.

Silambarasan, not known for his moderation or equanimity, is obviously over the top.

An elated Silambarasan says, 'my quest for doing variety roles is justified with Totti Jaya's good show. Ever since I heared the story, I was convinced that this movie would work well among the masses. Audience appreciate my performance as a rowdy.

Denying any interference in the work of director Durai, Silambarasan says, 'I just did what the director wanted me to. Now and then I suggested him few changes'.

A firm non-believer in the number game in Kollywood, Silamabarasan plans to have his directorial venture Vallavan released this December or early 2006.

'I have no competitors in the industry and for me my previous films alone are my bench marks', he adds.

A touch vain, some would say. Simply confident, some others may point out.

Well, will the real Simbu standup?
