Vijayakanth seems to raise extreme emotions from friends and foes alike. The Captain's impending jump into politics has not gone down well with existing politics. And it shows.

Somebody like DPI leader Thol Thirumavalavan is almost foaming at the mouth against Vijayakanth at every conceivable opportunity. Thirumavalavan was at it again.

Addressing mediamen in Chennai on Monday, the vociferous politician has sought the arrest of Nadigar Sangam president Vijayakanth for intimidating Thangar Bachchan and humiliating him by asking him to fall at the feet of actresses in Nadigar Sangam.

He further said Vijayakanth had used his office to do a 'katta panchayat' and force Thangar to seek an apology in front of the actresses.'I am not politicisng the whole issue, it is Vijayakanth, who is doing it', he said. Looks like the last word on the Thangar issue has not been said.
