Jyothika has denied rumors that she has backed out from Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu opposite KamalHaasan.

In an interview to a daily, the actress has been quoted as saying, 'I am picking my roles with far more care these days. In my next release June R, I play an important role. The movie is centered on me.'

Making it clear that the seemingly jinxed Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu was very much on, Jyothika said she has neither opted out of it nor the film is a non-starter.

After Vettaiyadu Vilaiyadu, she will take on Bhadra with Silambarasan. Ravikumar would direct the movie.

Later, she joins hands with Surya for Jillendru Oru Kadhal to be directed by debutant Krishna'.

Jyothika is also busy in Telugu where she is doing the lead role in a host of movies.

She is slated to act with Chiranjeevi in a movie to be directed by A R Murugadoss and also in Ramgopal Varma's Shock with Ravi Teja.
