'Though I am keen to act in challenging roles, unfortunately people in the Tamil film industry have branded me as glamour doll. But I am not disappointed and I will wait for my day patiently', says Namitha.
Currently acting in Thagappansamy with Prasahnth, Pambara Kannalae with Srikanth and Aanai with Arjun, she says, 'since I was advised bed rest for the last couple of months, I know I had put on weight. I am now on strict diet and exercises and keen to get back in good shape'.
On why she was removed from Selvaraghavan's Pudhupettai at the last moment, Namitha says, 'I don't know why? They informed me that I would be playing the heroine. However none had contacted me thereafter and I read from papers that I have been removed. It had really upset me', says the actress from Surat.
