Captain Vijayakanth, who is all set for a political plunge next month, has expressed confidence that his party would capture at least 10 constituencies in the next Assembly polls.

Speaking at the inauguration of the women's wing of his party at Salem, Vijayakanth said, 'I am facing several problems owing to my decision to take a plunge in politics. Those who do not like my entry are involved in defacing posters being struck by my fans and in several places they had even attacked my fans But however I am committed about entering politics.

Vijayakanth, who is known for his patience and perseverance, said he was ready to rough it out.

'Though several actors like T Rajendhar, Bhagiyaraj and Sivaji Ganesan have failed in politics before, I am not worried. I look at the successful ones like MGR and Jayalalitha. I always look on the positive sides', he said.

Speaking like a true politician, he urged the members of the women's wing to take a resolve not to demand dowry for their son's wedding in future.
