Actor Manoj, son of veteran director Bharathiraja , made his debut as actor with Taj Mahal directed by his father.

Unfortunately the movie bombed at the box office. And his career just failed to start since then.

Successive attempts by his father to establish his son as an actor failed miserably.

After a string of flops, Manoj, considered a jinx actor in Kollywood, just disappeared from the scene.

He changed his name to Manoj K Bharathy. But that too didn't yield him the desired results.

After lying low for some time, Manoj K Bharathy has bagged an offer to play the lead role in a movie titled Sathuryan being directed by a debutant.

Manoj says 'the movie has a great potential for me to display my acting skills. It would certainly help in establishing myself the industry".

He adds this is no tall talk.

Malluwood girl Nandana, who made her debut in Success along with Junior Sivaji , is playing the heroine.
