He is virtually down and out in the industry.

But trust him to boast and come up braggadocio stuff.

Of course, Vijaya T Rajendhar has built a career around it.

"The trend in Tamil filmdom has changed completely and one cannot give a success without glamour in their movies these days, says actor - director Vijaya T Rajendhar.

When asked whether his forthcoming movie Veersamy would be more glamorous, Vijaya T Rajendhar said, 'what's wrong in glamour? It sells these days, he says.

Gone are those days when emotional movies like Thangaikorru Geetham or Vasantha Azhaipugal ran to packed houses, he reasons rather desperately.

"Many producers who ventured to films along with me have disappeared now. The only reason I am around till today is because I know the tastes and likes of the people and I am quick to adapt to changes.

"If women like sentiments in movies, youths go for glamour. With more youths coming to theatres, I feel no wrong in going for glamour, he adds.

So another director too has fallen for glamour. Perhaps he has learnt the lesson from his son whose posters for Vallavan (Simbu's directorial venture) has him biting into a heroine's lips.
