Actress Shriya is a popular star in Tollywod.

Though she ventured into with Unnakku 20 Enakku 18, the movie ended in a disaster and she disappeared from the Tamil scene with no offers coming her way.

After a brief interval, she is back here desperate to leave a mark playing the heroine to Jeyam Ravi in Mazhai.

"Though I had a bad outing in U 20 I 18, I am confident that Mazhai would set all things right. The movie, a remake of Telugu hit Varsham, has more scope for me to perform. Hopefully, after Mazhai my time would come".

About her role in Mazhai, Shriya says "when I saw Varsham, I was disappointed at not playing the heroine's role in it. However when I was approached to play the same role in its Tamil version, I had no hesitation is saying yes to it".

Shriya who has been displaced as the number one actress in Telugu by Trisha wants to return the compliment here to her.

In Mazhai, Trisha has oozed glamour and elegance.
