Remember the movie Manikanda?

Being directed by Selvah, the movie starring Arjun and Jyothika, went to floors almost a year ago.

Unfortunately, the movie saw a lot of production hitches and other troubles resulting in a delay in its completion.

After a few problems over Jyothika's remuneration and the fact that she ventured to act in Mayavi and Chandramukhi, halted the progress of Manikanda.

However undeterred director Selvah has decided to commence the movie after a gap and complete it in one schedule.

He has changed the title to Nanba. With Arjun's recent film Giri doing well at the box office and with Jyothika making it to the big league with films alongside Rajni and Kamal Haasan now, Selvah feels a release of Nanba at this juncture would certainly draw audience to theatres.

Nanba means friend. The film will be hopefully one for him.
