Dhanush must be a tense man these days.

He had a series of flops in the recent past that he desperately needs a big boost to his quickly floundering career.

The man who was not to be seen in his father-in-law's Chandramukhi audio release function is getting ready in right earnest for Pudhupettai.

Fortunately, he seems to be on a strong wicket.

Dhanush has teamed up with is lucky director Selvaraghavan for Pudhupettai. The duo had earlier rendered blockbuster hits in Thulluvatho Illamai and Kadhal Kondein.

The shooting for the movie began on Sunday and would be filmed fast for a Deepavali release. Namitha is tipped to play the heroine.

Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the music while Aravindh Krishna is cranking the camera.

Produced by Kasthoori Raja, Pudupettai features Dhanush not just as the hero but also an assistant director to Selvaraghavan.

Dhanush is hoping that his brother who is on a white-hot winning streak will help him change his recent run of bad films.
