Vijay's next to cost atleast 70 crores

'Ilaya'thalabathi' VIjay is busy acting in his 5th film 'Puli' that is being directed by Chimbudevan. This will be a fantasy entertainer and will send a whiff of fresh air as Vjay is probably acting for the first time in this genre.

The film is being produced by PT Selvakumar who is Vijay's former PRO and Shibu of Thameen Films. The film is being made on a huge budget as he fantasy story demands. While the film is in the final stages of shooting at grand set erected by 150 artisans at Thalakona near the state border it is said that the film will cost at least Rs.70 crores. He producer Selvakumar has reportedly said that the film "will easily be the costliest Vijay film ever". He has also said the no expense demanded by the script has been sparred and the team is all out to bring a quality product for fans.

Sources say that Vijay plays a painter in the film and his paintings would become true in at various points of time and different locations. The film marks the return of yesteryear top heroine Sridevi in an important role. It also has Shruthi Hassan, Hansika, Nanditha, Sudeep, Prabhu and many other well known artists in the cast. Music is being scored by Devi Sriprasad while the camera is being handled by Natraj aka Natty.
